Past events

Our first major event was the Quilt Downunder 2007 - an exhibition and charity auction of quilts to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Network Australia.

The 2007 event was held at The International, Lilydale starting with a week-long exhibition of donated quilts, and culminating with a dinner auction. A total of 114 quilts were donated from all over Australia - what generous people the quilting community are!

The Auction was conducted at a dinner event, on October 13th 2007, and was an astounding success! Over 140 people attended the dinner, and it seemed that everyone came determined to buy a quilt! All quilts were sold, with strong bidding for nearly every quilt. Click here to see photos from the auction.

And a total of $32,542 was donated to BCNA!
